What’s the story behind Lifeline?
Lifeline originally was conceptualized to be a collaboration between Echoes of Tethys and I, as well as being a full album. However, after some thought, I realized that the concept of a man’s life being very literally represented on a line would be both difficult to pull off and not able to be expanded into an album. I started working on a song that eventually grew into Lifeline. As the song grew, the concept changed from literal to the general concept of making the most of your time, and then into its final form of exploring what life would be like if you were hyper-aware that your time was actively running out.
Lifeline comes out July 24, although it may be dropping a little sooner on Bandcamp ;). Go check it out!
